Principal Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Technical lead for analog design of complex power-management integrated circuits (PMICs). Responsible for driving block-level architecture, supervising design/simulation/layout, and ensuring products meet performance, area, power and schedule targets.

Work with cross-functional teams (test, applications, layout) and represent the company to external customers during development and delivery.

Experience Level

Senior level — typically 8–12 years of relevant analog IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, hands-on design, verification and customer interaction.

• Translate requirements into system and block-level design strategy for power-management products.
• Lead design, simulation and layout supervision of CMOS power-management circuits to meet performance, area, power and schedule constraints.
• Own complex block designs; delegate tasks and review team deliverables.
• Perform feasibility studies for new circuits and lead lab evaluation with applications engineers.
• Plan and implement top-level simulation and verification; support DFT strategy and test development for production ramp.
• Produce high-quality documentation for IP blocks and drive design and methodology improvements.
• Coach and mentor less-experienced engineers; provide technical guidance and reviews.
• Maintain customer-facing relationships as part of project teams and support RFQ activities.

• Must-have: 8–12 years of relevant analog IC design experience with demonstrated leadership on complex projects.
• Must-have: Proven expertise in analog CMOS power-management circuit design, simulation and layout supervision.
• Must-have: Experience with lab characterization and collaborating with applications and test teams to ramp products to production.
• Must-have: Ability to plan and execute top-level simulation and verification and to support DFT strategies.
• Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to deliver under tight schedules, and experience leading/coordinating significant projects.
• Must-have: Experience mentoring engineers and effective cross-cultural communication skills; excellent verbal and written English.
• Must-have: Willingness to undertake occasional international travel on short notice.
