Principal Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Technical lead for analog design of complex power-management integrated circuits (PMICs). Responsible for driving block-level architecture, supervising design/simulation/layout, and ensuring products meet performance, area, power and schedule targets.
Work with cross-functional teams (test, applications, layout) and represent the company to external customers during development and delivery.
Experience Level
Senior level β typically 8β12 years of relevant analog IC design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, hands-on design, verification and customer interaction.
- Translate requirements into system and block-level design strategy for power-management products.
- Lead design, simulation and layout supervision of CMOS power-management circuits to meet performance, area, power and schedule constraints.
- Own complex block designs; delegate tasks and review team deliverables.
- Perform feasibility studies for new circuits and lead lab evaluation with applications engineers.
- Plan and implement top-level simulation and verification; support DFT strategy and test development for production ramp.
- Produce high-quality documentation for IP blocks and drive design and methodology improvements.
- Coach and mentor less-experienced engineers; provide technical guidance and reviews.
- Maintain customer-facing relationships as part of project teams and support RFQ activities.
