Job Title

Principal Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver block-level analog and mixed-signal circuits for Micron DRAM products, taking designs from concept through silicon. Work within the DRAM IP Design team and collaborate with global design, verification, layout, and product teams to meet performance, quality, and yield targets.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 10+ years of semiconductor analog/mixed-signal IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities for this role include hands-on circuit design, verification, and cross-functional collaboration to enable production silicon.

  • Design, optimize, and verify block-level analog and mixed-signal circuits for DRAM products.
  • Propose, evaluate, and implement improved circuit topologies to enhance performance, power, area, and cost (PPAC).
  • Use SPICE and Verilog modeling for design and simulation; perform post-layout simulation and silicon-to-simulation correlation.
  • Partner with data science and EDA vendors to apply AI-assisted design flows for circuit optimization.
  • Expand verification coverage to strengthen robustness and mass-production yield.
  • Guide analog layout reviews, support cross-functional debugging, and operate independently to define solutions and methods.

Requirements

Core required skills and experience for successful candidates.

Must-have

  • 10+ years of semiconductor analog or mixed-signal IC design experience.
  • Strong analog circuit fundamentals; experience with regulators, charge pumps, oscillators, current references, bandgaps, or comparators.
  • Proficiency with SPICE and Verilog modeling and simulation.
  • Ability to supervise analog physical layout and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice-to-have

  • DRAM circuit design experience and several years of circuit debugging with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools and familiarity with device physics and CMOS process technologies.
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (listed with 10+ years of semiconductor design experience). Preferred: MSEE with 10+ years or BSEE with 12+ years of analog or mixed-signal IC design experience. (Summary extracted from the posting's minimum and preferred qualifications.)
