Principal Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead analog/mixed-signal circuit design for battery management and 48V power products within the Driver & Energy Systems product line. Work with global design teams to deliver architecture, schematic, verification, layout validation, lab debug and qualification to product release.
Experience Level
Senior β Principal level. Posting requires 10+ years of analog IC design experience.
Responsibilities
The role covers full lifecycle analog/mixed-signal block delivery within projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Define analog/mixed-signal architectures in partnership with Design Architects focusing on area, power and performance trade-offs.
- Translate specifications into electrical schematics and detailed circuit implementations.
- Develop and execute verification plans (PVT corners, statistical, ESD/EMC and post-layout simulations).
- Validate routing and interact with layout teams; perform layout verification.
- Participate in lab debug, board bring-up, product validation and support qualification activities up to product release.
- Collaborate across design, verification, test and system teams to meet project objectives.
Requirements
Must-have technical background and tools experience:
- 10+ years of analog IC design experience.
- Proven IC design experience in one or more domains: ADCs, switched-capacitor circuits, high-voltage power management, highly accurate voltage references, physical-layer interfaces (e.g. CAN), high-side/low-side drivers.
- Experience with smart-power BiCMOS technologies.
- Strong familiarity with Cadence IC tool flow.
- Experience with requirement traceability and functional safety processes (ISO 26262).
