Pre-Silicon Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Develop block- and cluster-level pre-silicon verification environments and test plans for high-speed ASIC products. Work within the ASICS Engineering team and collaborate with Design and Architecture teams to ensure functional correctness prior to silicon.
Experience Level
Mid-level; the posting requests approximately 5 years of pre-silicon verification experience (typical range 3β7 years).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building verification environments, driving coverage, and coordinating with design teams:
- Design and implement block and cluster test environments, test plans, and coverage metrics.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog UVM verification environments.
- Integrate formal verification methods where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Design and Architecture teams to resolve functional and coverage issues.
- Validate high-speed and networking-related functionality on complex ASIC blocks.
- Document verification results and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Approximately 5 years of pre-silicon verification experience (ASIC/SoC verification).
- Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to present and write clearly in English.
- Formal verification experience - advantage.
- Experience with networking products - advantage.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (examples: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) is listed as a minimum. The posting also accepts a Master's or PhD with reduced experience requirements. Explicitly: Bachelor's +4 years, Master's +3 years, PhD +2 years of ASIC design/verification/validation/integration experience; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
