Pre-Silicon Validation (AI/ML)
ArmJob Title
Pre-Silicon Validation (AI/ML)
Role Summary
Join a distributed system test team responsible for verification and system validation of next-generation neural network accelerators. The team develops test automation, emulation environments and workflows to shorten time-to-market and improve silicon quality.
Work closely with architecture, design, verification and software engineers to define verification strategy, own complex work packages, and drive verification activities to completion.
Experience Level
Open to multiple experience levels; typical hires are mid-level (approximately 3β7 years). Multiple roles are available across experience ranges.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing and executing system-level verification and emulation workflows for AI/ML accelerators.
- Design, build and maintain test automation and system test environments.
- Author, run and debug system-level test cases; triage simulation/emulation mismatches and failures.
- Develop and deploy advanced emulation environments to support bring-up, debug, feature and system validation.
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL design, verification and software teams to define verification scope and strategy.
- Optimize emulation workflows and performance for large-scale validation use cases.
- Estimate, plan and manage system test tasks and deliverables.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven experience specifying, creating and debugging system test environments and authoring test cases.
- Hands-on experience with emulation platforms (examples: ZeBu, Palladium, Strato).
- Familiarity with RTL languages such as SystemVerilog/Verilog.
- Experience working with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues and introduce capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on minimizing bug escapes.
- Ability to plan system test tasks and produce realistic effort/time estimates.
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen an application.
- Experience with requirements definition and management.
- Familiarity with UVM-based verification environments.
- Experience with CI platforms and version control (e.g. Git).
- Scripting proficiency (Python, Perl) for automation and diagnostics.
- Experience with software testing of embedded devices and practical ML/neural network knowledge.
- Experience with efficiency tuning and performance analysis for emulation systems.
If skilled worker sponsorship is required, the employer will cover sponsorship costs for the employer portion; candidates remain responsible for their personal application fees.
