Job Title

Power Integrity Engineer

Role Summary

As a Power Integrity Engineer on Intel's Client Computing and Physical AI Group (CCPG), you will analyze, design, and verify power delivery networks across silicon, packages, and boards to ensure performance and reliability for client, edge, and physical AI platforms.

You will collaborate with silicon integration, package, and board teams to develop power delivery architecture, validate designs, and produce platform-level specifications. This role is eligible for Intel's hybrid work model.

Experience Level

Mid-level - minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical design engineering experience. 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, simulation, analysis, measurement, and cross-team integration of power delivery networks.

  • Architect and implement power integrity solutions, including voltage rail merging, isolation schemes, and decoupling strategies.
  • Extract, develop, and simulate electrical models across DC to high-frequency components for power delivery networks.
  • Define design constraints and guide implementation of package and board components for optimal power delivery.
  • Perform power noise analysis and measurements across frequency ranges and correlate to pre-silicon estimations.
  • Collaborate with silicon integration teams, package design teams, and die floor planners to optimize decoupling partitions and voltage regulation schemes.
  • Develop platform-level specifications and design validation methods for power integrity.

Requirements

Must-have skills and constraints for initial consideration.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on electrical design engineering experience focused on silicon, package, or board-level design.
  • Proficiency with electrical simulation tools such as Sigrity PowerSI, PowerDC, HSpice, or Matlab.
  • Experience with package and board CAD tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English (upper-intermediate to advanced).
  • Unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Nice-to-have:

  • 5+ years of experience specifically as a Power Integrity or Power Delivery Engineer within the PC/platform environment.
  • Familiarity with platform system architecture, I/O structures, and topologies.
  • Advanced expertise in electrical simulation and modeling workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required. A Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is preferred. (Fields referenced: Electrical / Electronic Engineering.)
