Power Integrity Engineer

Role Summary

Work on power-delivery network (PDN) solutions for high-speed platforms, boards, packages, and silicon. Perform model extraction, noise analysis and simulations to define power-grid specifications and validate platform-level power behavior against silicon requirements.

The role supports platform and package teams to implement decoupling, VR characterization, and power-shape solutions that meet performance and reliability targets.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience in power integrity design and analysis.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include analysis, specification, and verification of PDN behavior across silicon, package and platform.

• Deliver power-integrity solutions for platforms, boards, packages, and silicon.
• Develop and analyze PDNs using 2D/3D model extraction and noise analysis.
• Define power-grid specifications and balance power integrity with performance targets.
• Design test structures and verify PDN performance against pre-silicon estimations.
• Perform simulations to guide package and platform physical implementation and tradeoffs.
• Develop platform-level decoupling and power-shape solutions for customers.
• Derive platform specifications from silicon requirements to enable VR characterization and feature convergence.

Requirements

Technical skills and team attributes required for the role.

• Must-have: Proficiency with EDA tools such as Cadence Sigrity and Synopsys HSPICE.
• Must-have: Practical experience performing PDN simulations, noise analysis, and model extraction.
• Must-have: Ability to design test structures and verify electrical metrics.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with VR performance characterization and platform-level power delivery specifics.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting specifies a minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in power integrity design and analysis.
