Power Infrastructure Lead
Role Summary
Lead development and deployment of methodology and infrastructure to measure and analyze IP power consumption. Guide architecture, design, and physical design teams to optimize energy efficiency of high-performance IPs.
Onsite role based in Santa Clara with responsibilities spanning modeling, correlation to RTL/silicon, and predictive analysis for design changes.
Experience Level
Senior β 5+ years of relevant experience in power benchmarking, analysis, and modeling.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deploy power analysis flows and models to collect and analyze power consumption.
- Correlate power models with RTL and silicon measurements.
- Create power models for architecture exploration and development.
- Develop methods to predict the power impact of design changes.
- Advise architecture, design, and physical-design teams on performance vs. power trade-offs.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 5+ years in power benchmarking, analysis, and modeling.
- Experience assessing power impacts at architecture, logic, and circuit levels.
- Familiarity with high-performance out-of-order CPU microarchitecture.
- Experience with ASIC power analysis and optimization.
- Hands-on experience in either hardware development (RTL, implementation, verification, backend, FPGA) or software development.
- Strong software engineering practices for maintaining large object-oriented codebases.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States; successful background/reference checks and compliance with export-control screening or ability to obtain necessary approvals.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Architecture.
