Power Device Development Engineer
Role Summary
Join a wafer process and device development team focused on automotive and AI power semiconductor products. The role covers device structure design, wafer process flow development, device measurement/evaluation, and manufacturing ramp-up from concept to mass production.
This position works with cross-functional teams (process, product design, quality, manufacturing) to establish production-ready processes and maximize product value.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of experience in semiconductor device structure design or process development.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Develop wafer processes from concept through to mass-production readiness.
- Design and optimize device structures and wafer process flows.
- Perform device measurement and electrical characterization for evaluation and verification.
- Collaborate with process, product-design, and quality teams to integrate element process technologies into products.
- Support production ramp-up and transfer of process technologies to manufacturing.
- Propose and implement process improvements to meet product quality and performance targets.
- Document process flows, test methods, and evaluation results for internal transfer and quality control.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills for successful candidates.
- Must-have: 3+ years experience in semiconductor device structure design or process development, including basic semiconductor physics and wafer process design/prototyping experience.
- Must-have: Ability to work across functions and contribute to production technology establishment and qualification.
- Nice-to-have: Wafer-level electrical characterization skills.
- Nice-to-have: TEG (Test Element Group) layout design experience.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with power-device development or automotive-grade semiconductor processes.
