Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current students; no prior professional experience required. The role expects a proactive learner who can work alongside engineers and follow experimental protocols.

Responsibilities

Key technical and support tasks the intern will perform:

  • Participate in RRAM device characterization and electrical testing to assess switching behavior and reliability.
  • Analyze electrical test data for cells and arrays (forming, set/reset, resistance window, leakage, cycling, retention, distributions).
  • Support development of test methodologies, data-analysis workflows, and statistical summaries to inform experiments and optimization.
  • Contribute to failure analysis and root-cause investigations by correlating process, device, and electrical data.
  • Assist evaluation of RRAM stack/process options and propose improvements to performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Perform work in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Practical and availability requirements for the internship.

Must-have

  • Able to work at least 40 hours per week (full-time during the internship period).
  • Available to work the internship period beginning January 2027 for approximately 16–24 weeks.
  • Ability to follow experimental procedures, record data accurately, and work safely in a lab/fab environment.

Nice-to-have

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience in microelectronics or device testing.
  • Leadership or project experience from school projects, competitions, or work.
  • Interest in semiconductor devices, CMOS technology, non-volatile memory (RRAM), wafer fab processes, and device characterization.
  • Data analysis and programming skills (Python, MATLAB, JMP, Excel or similar).
  • Ability to summarize technical data clearly and communicate progress to engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree (undergraduate) in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related technical field. Must be in good academic standing. The position is a credit-bearing internship scheduled for roughly 16–24 weeks beginning January 2027.
