Job Title

Power Architect - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Design and architect GPU power features and system-level power management solutions for NVIDIA GPU products. Work within an architecture team and collaborate with software, ASIC design, and product teams to define power strategy for the GPU roadmap.

Focus areas include energy-efficiency research across multiple GPU use-cases and development of power and performance models using data-driven techniques.

Experience Level

Entry-level (new college graduate). Suitable for recent graduates or those with internship/research experience; typically 0–2 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Architect GPU power features and system-level power-management solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, software engineers, ASIC design engineers, and product teams to define and implement power-management strategy.
  • Research and develop solutions to improve energy efficiency for use-cases such as deep-learning training, ADAS, gaming, video playback, and idle.
  • Develop and deploy machine-learning techniques to build accurate power and performance models for GPUs and platforms.
  • Support lab setup, measurement, and validation activities (oscilloscopes, DAQ, test equipment) as needed.

Requirements

Summary of required and preferred technical skills.

  • Must-have: Working knowledge of Python and ability to analyze data and collaborate across HW/SW teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of performance simulators/monitors and low-power architectures/techniques.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with ML frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy) for modeling and analysis.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to EDA/power tools and flows (Design Compiler, PTPX, PowerArtist) for RTL/implementation power analysis.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on lab measurement experience with oscilloscopes, data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and related test equipment.

Education Requirements

Pursuing or recently completed a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent practical experience). The posting specifically references MS or PhD degrees in these fields and accepts equivalent experience; a master’s degree or internship focused on low-power architecture, power modeling, or deep learning is noted as a plus.
