Postdoc - Advanced Modeling and AI Solutions
Role Summary
Join the Technology β Advanced Modeling and AI Solutions (AMAIS) group in Hyderabad to develop numerical and computational models that support memory development and manufacturing programs. Work within a multi-functional engineering team to design, implement, validate, and report modeling results for materials, structures, or processes.
This is a temporary position (up to 12 months) focused on project-based modeling and collaboration with internal stakeholders to apply simulation and data-driven methods to production challenges.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Postdoctoral (expected 2+ years of modeling experience).
Responsibilities
Contribute to a focused project that delivers modeling solutions and actionable results for memory process or materials problems.
- Develop, implement, and validate numerical models for materials, process, or structure simulations.
- Code, run, and maintain simulation workflows; perform data analysis and result interpretation.
- Integrate computational materials science and multi-physics methods into project work.
- Apply machine learning methods (regression, neural networks) where appropriate to complement modeling.
- Collaborate with the AMAIS team and cross-functional engineers to define next steps and deliverables.
- Prepare technical reports and conference papers; communicate results clearly in written and verbal form.

Key technical skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.

Must-have: Minimum 2 years of modeling experience; experience in algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing.

Must-have: Proficiency in one or more of: Python, Bash, FORTRAN, or C++.

Must-have: Experience with computational materials science methodologies and multi-physics modeling and implementation.

Must-have: Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications (regression, neural networks).

Must-have: Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and ability to document and communicate technical results.

Nice-to-have: Experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL or similar modeling software.

Nice-to-have: Background with wet processes (chemical etching/strip), plasma modeling, or Monte Carlo modeling.

Nice-to-have: Linux and prior software development experience; experience writing reports and conference papers.
Education Requirements
Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
