Post Test Equipment Engineer
Role Summary
Maintain and improve post-test manufacturing equipment to support high-volume semiconductor production. Work within the equipment engineering team to select, install, maintain, and optimize test and handling equipment used in the back-end/post-test process.

Mid-level. The posting requests approximately 2β5+ years of relevant semiconductor backend/post-test equipment experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of equipment lifecycle, uptime, and technical support for post-test manufacturing tools.
- Evaluate, select, procure, and justify manufacturing/test equipment based on cost and technical fit.
- Oversee installation, upgrades, modifications, and commissioning of equipment.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and documentation.
- Diagnose equipment performance and reliability issues; implement corrective actions to increase uptime.
- Provide technical support to equipment repair and process engineering teams.
- Monitor vendor notices, safety updates, and equipment upgrades relevant to production.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience follow; preferred items are listed separately.
- 2β5+ years experience with semiconductor backend or post-test equipment.
- Hands-on experience with equipment setup, troubleshooting, optimization, preventive maintenance, calibration, and alignment.
- Experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Skills in equipment downtime reduction and spare parts management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment; good time-management and initiative.
- Preferred: PLC/HMI troubleshooting, machine vision setup, and automation knowledge.
- Preferred: experience in high-volume manufacturing and specific equipment such as VTT (vision/test/transfer), Vitrox inspection, IC sorting (Isort), Neonbooster systems, and dry/moisture bake ovens.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline (Degree level: Bachelor's Degree).
