Post Silicon Validation Manager

Role Summary

Manage a post-silicon validation team within the NBIO group to ensure high-quality IP silicon validation, debug, and production release. Partner with senior technical and program leadership and cross-functional teams to plan validation execution, resolve issues, and improve validation processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate post-silicon validation activities, delivery, and continuous improvement across multiple projects and teams.

  • Lead and assign work for engineering staff; monitor workload and performance.
  • Plan IP validation execution: define deliverables, milestones, metrics, and schedules.
  • Deploy and maintain post-silicon debug infrastructure (software, hardware, automation, lab setups).
  • Track execution and debug progress; report status and issues to program leadership.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination with Debug, Platform, Firmware, and ATE validation teams.
  • Implement change control and issue management processes.
  • Lead technical discussions to resolve problems and roll out technical initiatives.
  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

Must-have skills and responsibilities for successful candidates; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: Proven experience managing engineering teams or technical leadership; ability to coordinate distributed teams and deliver programs.
  • Must-have: Hands-on post-silicon validation and silicon bring-up/debug experience at IP or system level.
  • Must-have: Experience deploying debug infrastructure and developing validation methodologies, test plans, and automation.
  • Must-have: Strong organizational, communication, and program-tracking skills; experience with status reporting and issue escalation.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of computer hardware and firmware/driver interactions (CPU/APU, x86, PCIe, memory, bus logic).
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with high-speed I/O protocols, ATE workflows, and SOC/IP design or validation background.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with common collaboration and issue-tracking tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Equivalent practical experience acceptable.
