Job Title
Post Silicon Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Work on post-silicon validation for client silicon within the Functional Validation System Stress Testing team. The role focuses on executing and developing stress, power-management, and concurrency test content on physical platforms to verify product quality before release.
Location: Haifa, Israel. This role follows a hybrid work model (split between on-site and remote work).
Experience Level
Mid-level (Experienced hire). No explicit years-of-experience requirement stated.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include operating validation labs, investigating failures, and developing automated test flows.
- Execute and monitor automated test cycles on physical validation platforms.
- Triage test failures by analyzing crash dumps, system logs, and traces; classify root causes (silicon, driver, firmware, infrastructure).
- File and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, logs, and evidence.
- Develop and maintain automated test flows for power-state cycling, system resets, and concurrent stress workloads.
- Monitor station health, manage test infrastructure, and maximize lab utilization.
- Automate reporting and data collection using Python and REST APIs.
- Collaborate with design, firmware, and driver teams to resolve issues.
Requirements
Concise split between must-have and nice-to-have qualifications.
Must-have:
- Deep understanding of computer architecture: CPU, memory, power states, PCIe, USB.
- Programming experience, preferably Python; experience automating tests and data collection.
- Experience with system-level failure analysis and troubleshooting (logs, crash dumps, event traces).
- Strong OS orientation and familiarity with system-level tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good written and verbal communication in English.
- Experience operating or maintaining validation lab infrastructure and physical test stations.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with scripting/automation frameworks and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of PC hardware components (processor, motherboard, DRAM, NVMe, peripherals).
- Experience with physical hardware debugging and lab environments.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows system-level debugging tools.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and building AI-based solutions.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is specified.
