Post Silicon and System Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and validate system-level firmware and software for high-end mixed-signal IP and FPGA-based boards. Lead silicon bring-up, troubleshoot hardware/software interactions, and improve validation and debugging processes.

Experience Level

Entry-level — requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Learn and implement communication protocols relevant to the IP and systems.
• Develop system-level firmware and software tightly coupled to FPGA silicon and board-level IP.
• Apply hardware and software tools and techniques to achieve functional coverage and debug issues.
• Perform silicon bring-up, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting from prototype to production.
• Create and execute validation plans, test cases, and automation to verify functionality.
• Document issues, solutions, and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, software, and tools teams to ensure integration and delivery.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficient in Python (required).
• Hands-on experience in hardware and software debugging.
• Solid understanding of design principles and data structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or equivalent; equivalent practical experience also accepted.
