Job Title

PMTS Portfolio & Technology Roadmap Management - GF Labs

Role Summary

Lead governance and execution of the GF Labs innovation portfolio, including Technology Pipeline Projects (TPPs), technology roadmap management (TRM), external research collaborations, and strategic technology investments. Ensure alignment of lab projects with Product Business Unit roadmaps and manage end-to-end project lifecycle, resources, milestones, and executive reporting.

Experience Level

Senior — role expects an experienced portfolio/program manager. Typical experience guidance: minimum 7+ years (PhD +7, MS +8, BS +11 as specified).

Responsibilities

Manage portfolio governance, lifecycle, resourcing, and reporting for GF Labs innovation programs.

  • Own TPP governance from idea intake through project closure using Teamcenter for idea and milestone tracking.
  • Administer portfolio reviews, steering committees, project approvals, and executive reporting.
  • Lead resource planning and capacity management via Anaplan in coordination with resource managers.
  • Coordinate GF Labs–PBU interlocks to align technology investments with product roadmaps and funding decisions.
  • Develop portfolio metrics, dashboards, and analytics (Power BI or equivalent) for milestone and investment tracking.
  • Manage relationships with universities, research institutes, suppliers, consortia, and government-funded programs.
  • Drive process improvement and digital transformation: workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, and advanced analytics to improve portfolio visibility and decision making.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for this role.

  • Proven portfolio and technical program management experience in semiconductor R&D or advanced technology organizations.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional programs, governance processes, and executive-level communications/presentations.
  • Hands-on experience with PLM/innovation management tools (Teamcenter or equivalent) and planning systems (Anaplan or equivalent).
  • Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, investment prioritization, and portfolio analytics.
  • Ability to coordinate business and technical stakeholders across multiple organizations and sites.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and metrics (Power BI or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Technology Roadmap Management (TRM), Horizon-based innovation portfolios, consortium/externally sponsored research programs, or implementing workflow automation, AI-enabled productivity solutions, or business process optimization tools.

Education Requirements

Requires a technical university degree. Experience-to-degree equivalence specified as: BS + 11+ years, MS + 8+ years, or PhD + 7+ years. Exceptions may be approved by local HR. Identified certification: PMP (listed as a preferred certification).
