Job Title

PMIC Design Verification Lead (Senior Staff Engineer)

Role Summary

Lead digital verification for PMIC and mixed-signal IPs, ASICs, and chipsets used in Snapdragon power solutions. Own verification strategy, test planning, UVM-compliant testbench architecture, coverage closure, and cross-functional integration and debugging through product launch.

Work with international teams to deliver high-volume, high-quality power-management IP and SoC products.

Experience Level

Senior - the posting specifies senior-level experience; the role expects long-tenured ASIC verification experience (10+ years is listed).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead digital verification for PMIC, mixed-signal IPs, ASICs and chipsets across development phases through high-volume launches.
  • Define verification plans and metrics; author and review test plans.
  • Design and maintain UVM-compliant testbench architecture and constrained-random stimulus.
  • Implement scoreboarding and drive coverage-closure activities.
  • Debug complex systems including digital RTL, SoCs, firmware, and embedded sequencers.
  • Own IP or chip DV tasks including planning, scheduling, and project risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams (architecture, firmware, analog) during integration and validation.
  • Provide technical leadership and review work from junior engineers; identify gaps and propose methods to meet coverage targets.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 10+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related experience (senior-level verification ownership expected).
  • Expert-level SystemVerilog programming skills.
  • Advanced UVM/SystemVerilog verification methodology experience.
  • Proven experience designing verification architecture and writing test plans; experience driving coverage closure.
  • Strong debugging skills across digital RTL, firmware, and system-level integration.
  • Process-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with mixed-signal verification and exposure to analog behavioral models.
  • Experience with PMIC-related IPs (telemetry ADCs, high-power charging, envelope tracking, DC-DC, LDOs).
  • Python or Perl scripting for verification automation.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring verification teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field is referenced: typical guidance in the posting is Bachelor's +6 years, Master's +5 years, or PhD +4 years; elsewhere the posting specifies 10+ years of experience and indicates a Master's is preferred. Equivalent relevant industry experience is acceptable where noted.
