Platform Validation Intern
Role Summary
Join the Data Center Group to support platform and system validation for Intel's data‑center technologies. The intern will run validation cycles, debug issues, and contribute to automation and test orchestration to ensure platform performance and reliability.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Student intern. Candidate must be an active undergraduate student with at least one year remaining.
Responsibilities
Support validation and test activities for hardware/software platforms.
- Set up platforms: hardware configuration and operating system deployment.
- Execute and document test cases; report results for validation cycles.
- Perform triage to identify root causes of failures.
- Script manual test cases to improve efficiency.
- Automate test plans using orchestration tools to increase accuracy and repeatability.
- Follow established engineering processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Requirements
Minimum technical and eligibility requirements.
Must-have
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (see Education Requirements).
- Practical experience (classroom, internship or work) with Python scripting.
- Experience using Linux (any distribution).
- Experience assembling computers and updating firmware/software.
- Familiarity with system validation concepts and test execution.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico; role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Will be required, if hired in Mexico, to provide NSS, RFC and CURP identification numbers.
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub, GitLab, SVN).
- Experience with automation/orchestration tools such as Jenkins or Airflow.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, with at least one year remaining as an active student. A Master's degree in those fields is listed as a preferred qualification.
