Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's physical design team in Shanghai or Beijing to work on GPU and mobile SoC physical implementation. The role covers floorplanning, power/clock distribution, placement & routing, timing closure, and physical verification on advanced process nodes.
Collaborate closely with RTL, DFT and circuit designers to troubleshoot implementation and flow issues and deliver production-quality designs.

Entry-level β new college graduate (class of 2027).
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Perform full-chip floorplanning and design of power and clock distribution networks.
- Implement placement and routing, perform timing optimization and drive timing closure.
- Execute RC extraction, power and signal integrity analysis, and physical verification tasks.
- Troubleshoot design and EDA flow issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with RTL, DFT and circuit teams to resolve implementation and sign-off problems.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Practical experience with EDA tools from Synopsys (ICC2, DC, PT, STAR-RC), Cadence (EDI/Innovus/Voltus) or Mentor (Olympus-SOC).
- Experience in clock/power distribution, placement & routing, timing closure, and RC extraction on advanced nodes.
- Experience addressing physical implementation and sign-off verification issues.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of FinFET device technology, circuit-level design, or package design.
- Familiarity with physical verification tools such as Synopsys ICV or Mentor Calibre.
- Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python, TCL) and build automation (Makefile).
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering or Science is stated. The posting targets new college graduates (class of 2027). No additional degree fields, certifications, or equivalent-experience language were provided.
