Role Summary

Perform physical design implementation for custom IP and SoC projects, taking designs from RTL through to GDS and manufacturing-ready databases. Work on full physical-design flow, verification/signoff, and design optimization.

Position based in Hyderabad (Madhapur); contributes to methodology and automation improvements for product-level power, performance, and area targets.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Implement physical design from RTL to GDS, including synthesis, placement, routing, and floorplanning.
• Perform clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, and timing closure activities.
• Design and analyze power/clock distribution, multi-power-domain strategies, and power/noise impacts.
• Execute verification and signoff tasks: formal equivalence, STA signoff, reliability checks, layout verification, ERC/DRC, and structural checks.
• Analyze design results, identify violations, and recommend fixes for current and future architectures.
• Optimize designs for product-level metrics: power, frequency, and area.
• Develop and improve physical-design methodologies and automation flows.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Hands-on experience with full custom ASIC/SoC physical-design flow (RTL-to-GDS).
• Proficiency in place & route, clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, and timing closure techniques.
• Experience with power/clock distribution, multi-power-domain analysis, and power/noise analysis.
• Experience performing verification and signoff tasks (formal equivalence, STA, layout verification, ERC/DRC).
• Familiarity with DFT and structural design checking.
• Ability to use industry-standard EDA tools and to develop/automate physical-design flows.

Nice-to-have:

• Prior experience with SoC and custom IP integration.
• Experience optimizing designs for area, power, and frequency at the product level.
