Role Summary
The Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for the physical implementation of complex design blocks, driving designs from initial concepts to tape-out. This role requires extensive experience in lower node technologies and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.
Experience Level
This position requires 8-12 years of professional experience, specifically in the physical design flow and methodology development on advanced nodes such as 5nm and 3nm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct block-level and top-level physical implementation.
- Implement design and optimize high-speed designs through synthesis and Place and Route processes.
- Collaborate with RTL/Logic designers to resolve issues and promote integration.
- Analyze design results meticulously for optimization.
- Showcase strong interpersonal and communication skills within a team environment.
Requirements
- Skilled in place and route flows, including multi-voltage designs.
- Experience with industry-standard Place & Route tools such as Fusion Compiler, ICC2, and Innovus.
- Knowledge of low-power designation flows encompassing UPF concepts and power management techniques.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Tcl with strong debugging abilities.
Education Requirements
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering is required.
