Role Summary

Join the Foundry Technology Development (Foundry TD) Design Technology Platform (DTP) team focused on Foundational IP (FIP) platform integration and quality assurance. The role implements reference designs using Foundry FIP, executes full SoC physical design flows, and develops QA and automation to ensure IP quality for customer-facing PDKs and IP.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Targeted at fresh graduates or candidates with less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute to FIP integration QA and reference-design development; automate and validate physical design and IP QA flows.

• Implement reference designs from RTL to GDS using industry-standard EDA flows and tools.
• Develop scripts and automation to accelerate physical design, QA, and debug processes.
• Run internal IP QA flows and develop new IP-level quality checks.
• Debug issues with EDA tool vendors and with internal Foundation IP teams; summarize findings and drive resolution.
• Apply data analytics and AI/ML techniques to improve execution, coverage, and quality of QA processes.
• Document processes, test results, and defects; present findings to engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional attributes necessary to perform the role.

• Practical experience or coursework in SoC physical design flows and implementation (RTL-to-GDS).
• Experience or ability to develop scripting/automation for EDA flows (e.g., using scripting languages and build/integration scripting).
• Familiarity with IP QA concepts and test execution; able to design and run QA flows and checks.
• Ability to investigate and debug issues with EDA tools and collaborate with tool vendors and internal IP teams.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and willingness to apply data analysis or AI/ML techniques to tooling and QA.
• Good written and verbal communication, organization, and teamwork skills; ability to prioritize tasks and learn continuously.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (BE/BEng) or equivalent, or Master of Science (MS) in Electronic, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Fresh graduates and candidates with less than 2 years' experience are explicitly considered.
