Photonics Technology Development FEOL Integration
Role Summary
Support the 300mm technology development integration team owning process integration of silicon photonic devices from development through customer engagement to production.
Collaborate with device, process module, and packaging teams to develop I/O solutions and drive cost reduction and process convergence.
Experience Level
Senior-level - requires 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include development, qualification, and integration of silicon photonics I/O and cross-team collaboration.
- Lead silicon photonics I/O development and qualification.
- Collaborate with device, process module, and packaging teams to define and implement I/O solutions.
- Drive technology cost reduction and process convergence initiatives.
- Engage with customers during development and qualification phases.
- Support device characterization and production integration activities.
- Perform work in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in technology development, integration, or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience in silicon photonics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience working effectively with diverse internal and external teams and partners.
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills.
- Background in CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization.
Education Requirements
PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or another relevant engineering or physical science discipline.
