Mid-level (Mid-Career). No explicit years-of-experience were provided.
Responsibilities
Key duties include modeling, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to improve photolithography overlay and scribe performance.
- Establish project plans to address overlay challenges for current and near-term nodes (N, N+1, N+2).
- Perform optical simulations related to scribe and overlay; provide mark design recommendations.
- Work with vendor application teams to identify and implement overlay scribe improvements.
- Define and lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects essential to the photolithography roadmap.
- Standardize methods and procedures across the area, department, and FABs.
- Investigate and identify root causes for complex lithography problems; summarize findings in written reports.
- Provide training and mentorship to other photolithography engineers on simulation and best practices.
- Advise senior management on technical issues related to overlay and scribe marks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to align expectations and deliverables.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work to improve efficiency and quality; evaluate and share AI-enabled improvements within scope of work.
Requirements
Core technical skills, practical experience, and communication abilities required for the role. Degree requirements are listed separately below.
- Must-have: Strong understanding of photolithography principles and optical metrology.
- Must-have: Knowledge of how lens aberrations, scanner chuck differences, and process variations affect overlay.
- Must-have: Familiarity with alignment and overlay mark types and how mark design impacts overlay errors.
- Must-have: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to summarize experimental plans and results.
- Must-have: Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain relationships with multi-functional teams and suppliers.
