Role Summary
Lead and execute verification of peripheral IP blocks and associated subsystems. Work with architects, RTL designers, and firmware teams to define verification plans, build coverage-driven test environments, and close verification signoff for production silicon.
Experience Level
Senior. Candidate should have extensive experience in unit- and IP-level verification (typically 8+ years of relevant verification experience).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and execute verification plans and closure criteria for peripheral IPs.
- Design and implement coverage-driven, constraint-random verification environments.
- Develop UVM-based testbenches (agents, monitors, checkers, scoreboards) and test planning artifacts.
- Integrate C-based reference models into testbenches and validate functional behavior against RTL.
- Verify standard protocols (PCIe, CXL, USB, Ethernet) and their system-level interactions.
- Automate verification flows, regressions, and reporting using scripting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage issues found during pre-silicon verification and bring-up.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 8+ years of unit and IP-level verification experience.
- Practical experience with coverage-driven, constraint-random verification.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM; experience in test planning.
- Experience developing complete testbenches: stimulus, agent, monitor, checker components.
- Experience with C-based reference models inside verification environments.
- Knowledge of standard interfaces/protocols such as PCIe, CXL, USB, Ethernet.
- Scripting experience (Perl, Python) to automate regressions and verification infrastructure.
Education Requirements
Degree required: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR Master's in those fields with 5+ years; OR PhD in those fields with 4+ years.
