Peripherals Design Verification - Sr Lead Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Lead Engineer will own unit- and IP-level verification for peripheral controllers and interfaces on the Hardware Engineering team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing and executing coverage-driven verification environments, integrating C-based reference models, and collaborating with RTL designers and system teams to close verification gaps.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead verification planning and execution for peripheral IP and unit-level blocks.
- Develop and maintain coverage-driven, constraint-random UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches (stimulus, agents, monitors, checkers).
- Create test plans, coverage models, and regression suites; track and close verification holes.
- Integrate and validate C-based reference models within test environments.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, system validation, and cross-functional teams to debug and resolve issues.
- Automate verification flows and develop scripts (Perl, Python) for regression and tooling.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to process and methodology improvements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 6+ years' experience in unit and IP level verification.
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM expertise; experience with coverage-driven, constraint-random verification.
- Experience developing testbenches (stimulus, agent, monitor, checker) and verification test planning.
- Knowledge of standard protocols such as PCIe, CXL, USB, Ethernet.
- Experience with C-based reference models inside testbenches.
- Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python) for automation and tooling.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in hardware bring-up, emulation, or silicon validation.
- Familiarity with system-level debugging and performance validation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR Master's degree in those fields with 2+ years' experience; OR PhD with 1+ year of experience.
