Job Title

Performance Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Join the platform validation team to define, develop, and execute performance validation strategies and tests for client platforms. The role focuses on measuring, debugging, and optimizing platform-level performance across real-world usage scenarios and coordinating with IP, SoC, and software teams.

Work involves postsilicon validation, building performance infrastructure, logging and analysis systems, and reporting results to engineering stakeholders.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 0–1+ years of relevant experience (0–1 years expected with a Bachelor's; Master's may qualify with no experience).

Responsibilities

The engineer will plan and execute platform performance validation and provide actionable analysis and debug to improve product performance.

  • Define and develop platform performance validation methodologies, KPIs, and landing zones.
  • Plan, execute, document, and report performance validation activities and results.
  • Develop and run performance benchmarks to analyze and optimize platform-level performance for target scenarios.
  • Perform platform-level debug and root-cause analysis to resolve performance and functional issues.
  • Develop postsilicon validation infrastructure: performance monitors, behavioral checkers, and test environments.
  • Configure and operate data logging systems for performance data collection and analysis.
  • Publish concise validation reports and present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to reproduce, debug, and assess performance issues.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • Proficiency in platform performance analysis and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with performance validation methodologies, benchmarks, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience using debugging tools and techniques for root-cause analysis at platform level.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis tools for performance testing and logging.
  • Ability to develop or use postsilicon test infrastructure and automation for validation.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across IP, SoC, and software teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with platform architecture and validation/debug workflows.
  • Experience presenting technical results to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
