PE Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Senior validation engineer responsible for lab bring-up, automation of data collection, and development of validation frameworks for high-speed memory interface silicon. The role partners with silicon design teams and applications engineers to validate performance and specification compliance.

Responsibilities

Work in the lab to validate high-speed memory buffer products, develop test methods, automate equipment and data analysis, and report results.

  • Lab bring-up and validation of high-speed memory buffer semiconductor products.
  • Develop test methodologies to validate silicon against specifications and system-level requirements.
  • Create scripts and software to automate lab equipment and analyze measurement data.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute bench characterization and test campaigns.
  • Design and run experiments with silicon design teams; collect, analyze, and present results.
  • Support the Applications team in reproducing and resolving customer issues.
  • Document validation procedures, results, and recommended corrective actions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical lab experience; listed concisely.

  • Hands-on lab experience performing bench testing and characterization of silicon products.
  • Experience with processor–memory interfaces and DDR topologies and protocols.
  • Understanding of high-speed signaling concepts, including signal integrity and power integrity.
  • Proven ability to write software/scripts for lab automation and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of test & measurement equipment and debugging (oscilloscopes, multimeters, protocol analyzers).
  • Ability to work closely with circuit designers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with ATE or system-level testing.
  • Hands-on experience with x86 computer systems and board-level debugging.
  • Familiarity with protocol generators, logic analyzers, and characterization workflows.

Education Requirements

B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering specified in the posting.
