PDK Management DTCO Engineer - TPG
Role Summary
Responsible for PDK change management, verification, benchmarking, and release planning within a cross-functional DTCO (Design-Technology Co-Optimization) team in Richardson, TX. The role coordinates with product design, process integration, modeling, design rules, and CAD teams to ensure PDK quality and readiness.
Work contributes to advanced memory and storage product development at Micron.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Requires a minimum of 5 years of semiconductor industry experience; DTCO or similar experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Manage the PDK lifecycle and collaborate across teams to verify and release high-quality PDKs.
- Manage and disposition cross-functional PDK change requests.
- Develop and run PDK verification and benchmarking processes; drive issue resolution with stakeholders.
- Plan and schedule PDK releases and development timelines.
- Maintain and validate design rules, compact models, and CAD integration for PDK updates.
- Collaborate closely with product design, process integration, modeling, and CAD teams to ensure PDK readiness for design and tapeout.

- Minimum 5 years of semiconductor industry experience; experience in DTCO preferred.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, compact modeling, design rules, and CAD tools.
- Experience with Star RC, FineSim, and Calibre.
- Programming skills: Python and Bash.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective verbal and written communication.
- Self-motivated team player adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Familiarity with applying AI tools to engineering workflows.
Education Requirements
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; "PhD or equivalent experience" and equivalent practical experience are acceptable.
