PDE HBM Yield Engineer
Micron TechnologyJob Title
PDE HBM Yield Engineer
Role Summary
Work on HBM yield analysis and improvement across new product introductions (NPI) at Fab 16 in Taichung. Collaborate with process, integration (PI), packaging, test, and data teams to identify root causes, quantify yield loss, and drive corrective actions.
Experience Level
Entry to mid-level β 0β4 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include yield accounting, deviation control, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Account for HBM NPI builds across PWF, assembly, and test through defect breakdown and PFA to identify fail modes.
- Collaborate with PI to isolate defects originating from integration/process and propose corrective improvement plans (CIP).
- Maintain and update yield dashboards and trackers; transform processing data to quantify yield loss.
- Analyze and report yield deviation issues; trigger actions with PI, PE, or RDA.
- Support block run and partial conversion build analyses to detect early yield impact.
- Work with PCS to identify SPC or FDC charts for shift-left monitoring in yield dashboards.
- Propose yield improvement opportunities by coordinating with cross-functional teams and using diagnostic tools.
- Use AI-assisted tools and data-analysis software to improve efficiency and identify yield enhancements, following organizational and legal guidelines.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- 0β4 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or engineering.
- Strong interest in yield analysis and data-driven problem solving.
- Basic knowledge of statistics, SPC, or data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with yield diagnostic software (e.g., auto-diagnostics) and dashboarding concepts.
- Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively.
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required (e.g., electrical, materials, mechanical, computer engineering or similar).
