PCIe Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Member of a hardware verification team responsible for verifying PCIe/PIPE IP and related high-performance designs. Deliver UVM-based testbenches, verification architectures and test plans, and drive coverage closure.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of experience in semiconductor verification, with a focus on protocol/IP verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building verification infrastructure, defining tests and metrics, and collaborating with design teams to resolve issues.
- Develop UVM-based verification testbenches and regression environments.
- Create test plans, test scenarios and verification architectures; review design specifications.
- Implement and manage functional and code coverage; drive coverage closure.
- Debug RTL and verification failures and coordinate fixes with design teams.
- Address verification challenges for high-performance designs and optimize verification flows.
- Automate test execution and regressions using scripting tools where applicable.
Requirements
Core technical requirements and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in semiconductor verification with protocol/IP focus.
- Strong expertise in UVM-based verification methodology and testbench development.
- Domain expertise in PCIe and PIPE protocols.
- Knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB).
- Experience with design-spec review, testplan creation, and verification architecture.
- Experience managing functional and code coverage.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of NVMe protocol.
- Scripting experience for automation (Python, Perl, Shell, etc.).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or VLSI Engineering (e.g., Electrical/Computer Engineering). The posting specifies Bachelors/Masters in Electronics/VLSI Engineering.
