PCIe Design Verification Intern - Summer 2027
Role Summary
Six-month internship (May 2027 β December 2027) on a verification team focused on PCIe and CXL. Work in SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches to validate hardware functionality and performance, improve simulation throughput, and automate verification processes.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship).
Responsibilities
The intern will contribute to verification tasks across simulation and hardware platforms.
- Develop directed and random diagnostics and tests for RTL, reference models, emulators, and hardware.
- Implement and debug testbench components and checkers in an SV/UVM environment.
- Write and review validation test plans and test cases.
- Measure, analyze, and improve simulation performance and throughput.
- Automate engineering processes and verification workflows.
- Debug diagnostics on simulators, emulators, and real hardware; collaborate with global engineering teams.
Requirements
Core technical skills and hands-on verification exposure required; preferences listed separately.
- Must-have: Exposure to computer architecture, ASIC design, or verification methodology.
- Must-have: Familiarity with object-oriented programming and/or SystemVerilog.
- Must-have: Scripting experience in Python or Perl.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with directed and random functional testing and writing test plans.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with automation of build/test processes and hardware simulation/waveform debug tools.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical degree (internship-level study). No alternative equivalent-experience language specified.
