Job Title

Parametric Test Module Intern

Role Summary

Internship on a module engineering team performing electrical (Etest/parametric) measurements on wafers inside a semiconductor fab. The role supports process development and manufacturing readiness by producing timely measurement data, summaries, and troubleshooting actions for leading-edge transistor technologies.

Work closely with equipment suppliers, data customers, and other Intel test sites to enable Etest for new products and improve test quality and tool matching.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Internship. Candidates should have prior hands-on experience (examples below reference ~3+ months) in electrical circuitry, instrument/test system work, or data analysis obtained via coursework, research, or prior roles.

Responsibilities

Primary tasks and deliverables expected from the intern:

  • Build queries and automate summaries to extract and present Etest data.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve equipment (tool) matching and measurement consistency.
  • Develop automated data summaries and response flow checklists for equipment errors and measurement marginalities.
  • Work with equipment suppliers to identify issues and propose, test, and evaluate mitigation solutions.
  • Enable and tune Etest probing recipes for new products in the factory.
  • Collaborate with other Intel test sites and data stakeholders to maintain test quality and sustainment practices.

Requirements

Minimum practical skills and preferred additional skills.

  • Must-have (practical experience): Hands-on familiarity with electrical circuitry fundamentals; instrument design, test system development, or design validation; and data summarization/data analysis techniques (experience may come from school projects, research, or internships).
  • Behavioral: Problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively in a skilled engineering team.
  • Preferred: Experience with device or circuit design and electronic test equipment; familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools for instrument control; hardware troubleshooting and clear technical communication skills.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related specialized field.
