Senior System Level Testability Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group within the Test, Manufacturability, Reliability & Quality (TMRQ) team to define and deliver system-level diagnostics, verification, and post-silicon validation for GPUs, SoCs, and CPUs. The role focuses on translating product requirements into effective production test coverage and improving production workflows across design, firmware, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities center on designing and validating system-level production tests, driving correlation between silicon and production test infrastructure, and improving manufacturing test effectiveness.

  • Partner with silicon design, characterization, IO, system feature owners, and Production Operations to define production test coverage and diagnostic content.
  • Specify requirements for software and board teams to support test infrastructure, debug knobs, and data collection features.
  • Co-design testability scope and coverage enhancements focused on system-level manufacturing testing.
  • Prototype and tune speed, power, performance, yield, and quality on pre-production silicon.
  • Develop and maintain system-level testing flows and correlate silicon findings to design changes.
  • Define procedures to support correlation between production test infrastructure and internal diagnostics.
  • Support customer-facing and quality teams during escalations and close coverage gaps.
  • Create and track key performance indicators to evaluate new test effectiveness.
  • Initiate process improvements and preventative actions using root-cause analysis.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.

  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and experience with digital design, signal integrity, timing analysis, and fault analysis.
  • Knowledge of sampling, statistics, and computer architecture relevant to system-level testing.
  • Proven hands-on lab experience with silicon bring-up and lab debug.
  • Experience with data analysis and working with large/volume datasets.
  • Practical understanding of firmware/driver structures and interaction with hardware.
  • Programming and scripting skills: Python, BASH; comfortable in Linux environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and logical reasoning demonstrated by prior work.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with GPUs, CPUs, AI accelerators, or other large-scale SoCs in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience using AI to accelerate production testing and debug workflows.
  • History of leading multi-functional alignment on production methodologies in HVM environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Microelectronics, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering; equivalent practical industry experience accepted.
