NVM Reliability Engineer

Role Summary

The NVM Reliability team characterizes, models, and enables next-generation non-volatile memory technologies to support product development across the company.

This role performs reliability characterization, statistical analysis, defines qualification criteria, and collaborates with product and foundry teams to ensure high-volume product reliability.

Experience Level

Mid-level — target experience: 5–10 years of industry experience in reliability, device characterization, or related roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Interface with foundries and external IP suppliers to assess reliability margins for product applications.
• Establish qualification requirements for new technologies and product introductions.
• Design and execute reliability characterization studies and collect structured datasets.
• Perform rigorous statistical analysis of characterization data and develop reliability models.
• Work with product teams to identify and mitigate reliability risks during volume production.
• Support customer and business groups with reliability data, risk assessments, and technical consultation.
• Communicate study conclusions and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• 5–10 years of industry experience in device reliability, characterization, or a related field.
• Proficient in data processing and analysis tools such as Python, JMP, MATLAB, or Exensio.
• Strong background in statistics and solid-state device fundamentals, especially for emerging NVM technologies (RRAM, MRAM).
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, curious, and able to communicate effectively in English.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with microcontroller software development (C/C++).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience. The posting specifies 5–10 years of industry experience in addition to the degree expectation.
