Job Title

NVIDIA Spring 2027 Internships: Developer and Performance Technology

Role Summary

8–12 month, full-time internships on Developer & Performance Technology teams. Interns work on GPU performance, benchmarking, automation, power and image-quality testing, and deep learning / HPC workloads that inform hardware and software decisions.

Projects are hands-on and measurable; interns configure systems, run benchmarks, collect and analyze data, and develop automation and tooling used by internal engineering teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current university students; no professional years-of-experience required. Targeted at students pursuing B.S. or M.S. degrees.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities vary by team and project. Examples include:

  • Design and run performance, image-quality, and power benchmarks on GPU hardware and software stacks.
  • Configure and maintain test systems: hardware assembly, OS/drivers, BIOS and low-level settings.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for data collection and benchmarking.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and present test data to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Implement hands-on tests for post-silicon performance and power characterization.
  • Assist in debugging, tuning, and reproducing performance issues on GPU-accelerated applications.
  • Contribute to processes that improve testing coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate practical experience and availability for the internship duration. Education requirements are summarized separately below.

  • Must-have: Available full-time for the full 8–12 month internship period.
  • Must-have: Relevant coursework or internship experience in one or more of: Linux, Python or Unix shell scripting, basic debugging, or GPU-accelerated frameworks.
  • Must-have: Ability to work with hardware and low-level system configuration (assembling systems, BIOS settings, driver installs) as needed for testing.
  • Preferred: Preferred start dates: February 2027 or May 2027.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL), TensorRT/PyTorch/TensorFlow, containers (Docker/Singularity), or cluster schedulers (Slurm, Kubernetes).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with benchmarking, power measurement tools (multimeters, DAQs), compilers, embedded platforms, or HPC applications.

Education Requirements

Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field for the full 8–12 month internship. Resume or CV must clearly state anticipated graduation month and year. (No other degree or certification requirements specified.)
