Job Title

NVIDIA Spring 2027 Internships: Developer and Performance Technology

Role Summary

8–12 month full-time internships within NVIDIA's Developer and Performance Technology teams. Interns work on performance engineering, benchmarking, power and image-quality testing, and tools/automation that directly inform hardware and software decisions.

Projects are hands-on and measurable: configuring test systems, running benchmarks across DL/HPC and visualization workloads, automating data collection, and analyzing results for internal teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current university students (undergraduate or master’s). This role is intended for students available full-time for the full 8–12 month internship period.

Responsibilities

Typical tasks depend on the specific internship focus; example responsibilities include:

  • Run performance, image-quality, and power benchmarks on GPU platforms and competitive products.
  • Configure hardware and software stacks (OS, drivers, system BIOS) for repeatable testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and benchmarking tools to improve testing efficiency.
  • Collect, aggregate, analyze test data and produce written and visual reports for engineering and product teams.
  • Assemble and troubleshoot test systems and embedded platforms; perform low-level system configuration and debugging.
  • Execute tests across DL/HPC frameworks and applications and validate results for accuracy and performance regressions.

Requirements

Minimum technical and logistical requirements; degree-specific expectations are in Education Requirements below.

  • Available full-time for an 8–12 month internship and able to start in February 2027 or May 2027 (preferred).
  • Practical experience with Linux and shell scripting; strong Python scripting skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with GPU programming and accelerated frameworks (CUDA, OpenCL, TensorRT, PyTorch, TensorFlow) is preferred.
  • Experience with containers (Docker, Singularity), automation, and benchmarking methodologies.
  • For platform/power roles: basic electrical measurement familiarity (multimeters, DAQs) and power testing concepts is helpful.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with 3D graphics, image-quality testing, compilers, cluster schedulers (Slurm, Kubernetes), and embedded platforms.

Education Requirements

Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field for the full 8–12 month internship; anticipated graduation month and year must be shown on the resume/CV. (No equivalent-experience language specified.)
