Job Title

NVIDIA 2027 Internships: Deep Learning Computer Architecture

Role Summary

12-week, full-time internship within NVIDIA's Deep Learning Computer Architecture teams. Interns contribute to projects that affect product performance and architecture for GPUs and related systems.

Work includes performance modeling, profiling, prototyping, and experimentation to improve deep-learning and high-performance computing workloads.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Applicants must be current university students for the full duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities during the internship include:

  • Execute assigned research or engineering projects with measurable deliverables over a 12-week period.
  • Develop and run performance models, benchmarks, and profiling experiments for CPUs/GPUs and ML workloads.
  • Implement and optimize code for evaluation (C, C++, CUDA, or similar).
  • Analyze results, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and present findings to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

Skills and experience expected for candidates (educational enrollment details are under Education Requirements):

  • Practical experience or coursework in one or more focus areas: GPU architecture, CPU architecture, deep learning, GPU computing, parallel programming, or HPC systems.
  • Experience with performance modeling, profiling, optimization, or related analysis.
  • Programming experience in C or C++; familiarity with CUDA or other GPU computing frameworks preferred.
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and HPC tools (MPI, OpenMP) is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate results clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education Requirements

Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field for the full duration of the internship; anticipated graduation month and year must be indicated on resume/CV.

Compensation: hourly intern pay typically ranges from 20 USD to 71 USD depending on location, degree level, year in school, and experience.
