Job Title

NVIDIA 2027 Internship — Mixed Signal Design

Role Summary

12-week, full-time internship on NVIDIA's mixed-signal/hardware team. Interns work on hands-on mixed-signal design tasks that contribute to deliverables and may affect product behavior.

Typical work includes analog design and simulation, lab testing, layout considerations, and collaborating with senior engineers on measurable project outcomes.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current university students (undergraduate or graduate). No professional years-of-experience required; must be enrolled for the full internship period.

Responsibilities

Internship responsibilities vary by assignment. Typical duties include:

  • Execute mixed-signal design tasks under mentorship (schematic, simulation, verification).
  • Run analog simulations (noise, loop stability, AC/DC/transient, Monte-Carlo) and analyze results.
  • Support layout and physical-design considerations and review layout constraints.
  • Perform lab measurements using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and document test results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present progress to engineering leads.
  • Write scripts or testbench code as needed and maintain design documentation.

Requirements

Relevant technical experience or coursework is expected. Below are common must-have and nice-to-have skills.

  • Must-have: Coursework or internship experience in analog fundamentals, analog simulation and layout/physical-design fundamentals.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with CMOS analog circuit concepts and high-speed circuit design principles (PLL, DAC, ADC, bandgaps).
  • Must-have: Experience using lab test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) and documenting measurements.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog, VHDL, Perl, Python for testbenches or automation.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with SPICE/HSPICE, Simulink, Cadence Virtuoso, or Synopsys tools.

Education Requirements

Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field for the full duration of the internship. Resume/CV must show anticipated graduation month and year.
