Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, validation, software, architecture) and provide technical leadership to improve yield, test time, and product quality.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Title indicates Sr Staff; typical candidates have multiple years of hardware engineering experience (preferred 5+ years). Minimum experience varies by degree (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems including digital/analog/RF/optical, FPGA, and DSP elements.
  • Integrate features and functionality into hardware designs according to proposals and roadmaps.
  • Perform complex simulations and analyses to optimize power, performance, and area.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, validation, software, and architecture teams to implement new requirements and test solutions.
  • Evaluate, characterize, and develop manufacturing and bring-up solutions to meet customer schedules and improve yield.
  • Assess reliability of materials and techniques; introduce automation and optimization to maximize productivity.
  • Write detailed technical documentation and provide guidance to other team members.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Significant hardware engineering experience (preferred 5+ years).
  • Practical experience with circuit design (digital, analog, or RF) and schematic capture/circuit simulation tools.
  • Hands-on use of test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF tools.
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, characterization, and developing manufacturing/test solutions.
  • Ability to run complex simulations and optimize designs for power, performance, and area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and mentor or guide other engineers. Technical leadership experience is preferred.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with FPGA and DSP systems and production-level test automation.
  • Prior work on NPU/AI processor synthesis or ASIC production programs.

Education Requirements

Degrees listed: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. The posting specifies degree-plus-experience alternatives: Bachelor's +3 years, Master's +2 years, or PhD +1 year. Preferred: Master’s and 5+ years hardware engineering experience.
