NPO Product Manager (HBM)

Role Summary

Responsible for driving operations planning and execution for early lifecycle New Product Introduction (NPI) of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products. The role aligns cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and logistics to achieve predictable manufacturing readiness and a smooth transition to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typically requires 5+ years of experience in NPI, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations; semiconductor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The NPO Product Manager will:

  • Act as the operations liaison within HBM Product Development Teams and represent operations in executive reporting forums.
  • Engage early in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to address manufacturing operations and enterprise system needs for new products.
  • Maintain ramp schedules and manage the transition to HVM to ensure milestones are met.
  • Oversee sample processes to meet specifications, customer expectations, and On-Time Delivery metrics.
  • Ensure product BOM compliance with Design for Supply Chain (DfSC) and Bill of Material Risk Review (BRR) guidelines; facilitate BOM risk reviews and sourcing assessments.
  • Secure unqualified and qualified silicon and required capacity; enable enterprise systems and resolve supply-demand roadblocks.
  • Provide regular status reporting to identify and mitigate operations-related risks and issues.

Requirements

Core skills and experience required and desirable.

  • Must-have: 5+ years in NPI, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations with cross-functional leadership experience (engineering, supply chain, procurement, business).
  • Must-have: Deep knowledge of semiconductor supply chain and PLM/NPI processes, including early lifecycle integration.
  • Must-have: Proven program management skills: schedule and milestone management, dependency tracking, risk assessment, and issue resolution.
  • Must-have: Experience with BOM governance, Enterprise Master Data, Design for Supply Chain and BOM Risk Review processes.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with enterprise and planning systems such as SAP, Kinaxis, supply planning tools, and data/reporting tools (Tableau, SharePoint, HANA, Snowflake).
  • Must-have: Strong analytical, reporting, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities; able to influence without authority and drive execution under ambiguity.
  • Must-have: Practical use of Generative and agentic AI tools to improve day-to-day workflows and decision making.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience specifically with HBM product programs, ramp to HVM, and securing silicon/capacity for memory products.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is required. PMP certification is preferred.
