Job Title

NPI Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the design and deployment of automated test solutions for RF and mixed-signal products throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle. The role spans software, systems, and test engineering to deliver scalable, maintainable, production-ready test systems.

Responsible for defining best practices within a global test development organization and ensuring reliable, reusable test frameworks and systems.

Experience Level

Senior — requires significant prior experience; posting specifies 8+ years in automated test development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include development, integration, and improvement of automated test systems for production test.

  • Design and implement automated test solutions using TestStand and C# on PXI-based ATE.
  • Lead RF test development, system integration, and complex hardware/software debugging efforts.
  • Provide design-for-test (DFT) feedback to product and hardware engineering teams.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement of software and test architectures to increase reuse, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.

  • 8+ years of experience in automated test development and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and NI TestStand.
  • Experience with PXI-based automated test equipment (ATE) and associated instrument control.
  • Deep knowledge of RF measurements and RF test methodologies.
  • Proven ability to debug complex hardware and software systems across the test stack.
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering staff.

Nice-to-have: structured problem-solving approach, clear communication skills, and a track record of building reusable, scalable technical solutions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Engineering.
