NPI & Technology Leader
Role Summary
Senior technical leader responsible for driving technology strategy and execution across New Product Introduction (NPI), process and package technology, and IP roadmaps. Works cross-functionally to prioritize, plan, and enable technology deployment aligned with product and business objectives.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 15+ years of progressive experience in research, technology development, product development, or semiconductor engineering, including leadership of technical teams and complex programs.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate technical strategy and execution for key NPI and technology initiatives. Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead NPI programs: define scope, resource planning, staffing, and cross-functional alignment from concept through production release.
- Assess, prioritize, and plan technology readiness for process, package, architecture and IP selection (internal and external).
- Develop and own Process and Package Technology roadmaps and drive deployment efforts (including prioritizing 12e process implementation and identifying initial product candidates).
- Define and manage IP roadmaps (starting with Digital IP and IP train initiatives) and coordinate internal and external IP development.
- Provide leadership and oversight for critical programs requiring additional support, ensuring planning, tracking, and delivery of milestones and cross-functional execution.
- Lead strategic cross-organizational initiatives, driving collaboration, accountability, and measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in semiconductor engineering, technology development, or product development, including leadership of technical teams and complex programs.
- Proven track record leading NPI programs from concept through development, qualification, and production release.
- Deep technical expertise in process technology, package technology, product development, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience developing and executing technology roadmaps and IP strategies that support product and business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex initiatives, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; able to influence technical and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, highly matrixed organization.
- Experience with advanced process deployment (e.g., 12e) and identifying rapid-learning product candidates is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.
