NPI Local Champion

Role Summary

Lead and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initiation through production readiness. Serve as the focal point for cross-functional execution across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business teams.

Drive project schedules, risk management, and execution to meet business and customer commitments.

Experience Level

Entry-level — typically 1–3 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong academic records may be considered.

Responsibilities

Manage engineering and project activities to move new products from development to production.

  • Lead and manage engineering workstreams for NPI projects.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, deliverables, and resource forecasts.
  • Coordinate with R&D to define product specifications and development approaches.
  • Support prototype builds, validation, and product release activities.
  • Develop prototype and test plans aligned to manufacturing instructions and process needs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication on goals, risks, and status.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in NPI processes and cycle time.
  • Support risk assessments, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required for successful performance in the role.

  • 1–3 years experience in NPI, project management, manufacturing/process/product engineering, or semiconductor operations.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, product qualification flow, and production lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, stage-gate processes, or NPI governance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong presentation, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related technical field. Fresh graduates with outstanding academic achievements and leadership potential may be considered.
