NPI Hardware Systems Engineer – Semiconductor Sensor Products
Role Summary
Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities for semiconductor sensor hardware, driving transitions from prototype to high-volume manufacturing. Work at the intersection of design and manufacturing to ensure products are manufacturable, reliable, and scalable for customer deployment.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning and executing NPI builds, enabling production readiness, and resolving manufacturing issues across cross-functional teams.
- Lead NPI activities from prototype through production release; coordinate prototype, pilot, qualification, and production builds.
- Drive transition of new products from engineering development into manufacturing and partner with Manufacturing Engineering for ramp-up.
- Develop and execute build plans, validation activities, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
- Support first-article builds, product qualifications, and production launches; ensure BOMs, work instructions, and test procedures are production-ready.
- Drive DFx initiatives: manufacturability, assembly, testability, reliability, serviceability, quality, and cost reduction.
- Identify technical risks, implement mitigation plans, and lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers during development and ramp; support manufacturing test strategies and product validation.
- Improve yield, quality, and production efficiency through data-driven problem solving and cross-functional communication.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and productization experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

Must-have: Proven experience in electrical hardware development and productization, including NPI, pilot builds, and manufacturing ramp-up.

Must-have: Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and system-level electrical design; experience with mixed-signal systems and power distribution.
