NPI Engineer
Role Summary
The NPI Engineer leads New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for trench technology and platform projects in R&D at the Cabuyao plant. The role coordinates technical deliverables, change control and safe launch activities across business groups, quality, operations and the ATCB Change Review Board and reports to the ATCB NPI Manager.
Primary objective is to complete BCAMX gate deliverables, deploy process and product changes into production, and ensure manufacturability, yield and on-time delivery of new products.
Experience Level
Mid-level — 2–5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor or related manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
Manage NPI project execution, cross-functional coordination and technical rollout. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure projects comply with BCAMX, QCM and ATCB Change Control processes and documentation.
- Handle Standard-to-Technology Track projects and act as liaison between the Business Group (Manchester/Hamburg) and Cabuyao stakeholders.
- Complete and verify BCAMX gate deliverables such as RACI, DFM, Release Checklist, CNP, MRAT, Qualification Report and Safe Launch documentation.
- Plan and coordinate project resources and logistics.
- Deploy process and product changes on the production line and perform safe launch tracking.
- Characterize processes, materials and product interactions with the manufacturing environment as required.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to apply MVA/DVA on NPI projects to support package cost, yield and cost-saving improvements.
- Provide technical support and leadership to engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Required qualifications, skills and behaviors:
- 2–5 years experience in semiconductor or related manufacturing industry.
- Basic knowledge of project management fundamentals.
- Proficient with MS Office and statistical tools such as SAS JMP and/or Minitab.
- Knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA and DFM methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with Six Sigma and/or 8D is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to deliver results through teamwork and determination.
- Able to work independently and effectively under pressure.
- Willing to travel if required.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
