Role Summary

Lead the end-to-end industrialization strategy for Assembly and Final Test (FT) technologies, guiding new products from concept to high-volume manufacturing and optimizing material value-add. Manage a multidisciplinary organization of ~50 engineers and specialists focused on transfer readiness, product capability, and cost competitiveness.

Reports to senior operations leadership and partners closely with Business Groups, R&D, Procurement and manufacturing sites. Nexperia is an equal-opportunity employer.

Experience Level

Senior — requires a minimum of 15+ years' hands-on experience in Semiconductor Assembly/Test and at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large engineering functions.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic NPI execution, cost strategy and organizational development across Assembly and FT disciplines.

• Partner with Business Groups during product architecture to ensure Design for Excellence and smooth technology transfer.
• Drive operational readiness and complex product qualifications to achieve high capability, stability and manufacturability targets.
• Define and enforce global handoff protocols between R&D and Operations for ramp execution.
• Lead BOM ecosystem and second-source strategies with Procurement to reduce material cost and secure supply.
• Perform competitive market and BOM benchmarking to maintain cost competitiveness.
• Manage and develop a multi-disciplined team (~30 indirect, ~20 direct), establish succession plans and grow technical SMEs and leaders.

Requirements

Must-have technical and leadership qualifications for immediate contribution to high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in Semiconductor Assembly and Final Test.
• 5–7+ years of senior leadership experience managing large engineering teams and cross-functional programs.
• Expert knowledge of advanced packaging technologies, materials science, and equipment automation.
• Proven ability to link technical decisions to P&L outcomes and drive material value-add (MVA) improvements.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence, including negotiation with global suppliers and alignment with factory teams.
• Experience leading complex qualifications and achieving high OEE, process capability and zero-defect reliability targets.

Education Requirements
