NoC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The NoC Verification Engineer will develop and maintain verification components, UVM benches, verification IPs (VIPs) and the automation software that generates them for Qualcomm's NoC (Network-on-Chip) solutions. The role sits at the intersection of EDA/tool development, verification component design and hardware IP verification within the Qualcomm Interconnect Technology Center (QITC).
Experience Level
Mid-level. Preferred 2+ years in hardware design or verification; candidates with equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include implementing and running verification for NoC features and maintaining associated automation.
- Verify NoC-level features and ensure correctness across topologies and configurations.
- Develop and maintain UVM benches and the Python software that generates those benches.
- Design, extend and maintain UVM VIPs for NoC communication protocols.
- Implement and maintain fully automated verification regressions.
- Debug verification failures and collaborate with SoC integration and IP teams to resolve issues.
- Work within Linux-based workflows and use version control (Git) and Synopsys verification tools as needed.

- Must-have: Hands-on experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM; ability to develop and maintain verification benches and VIPs.
- Must-have: Proficiency in Python and shell scripting; experience using Linux and Git in verification flows.
- Must-have: Strong debugging skills and experience with automated verification regressions.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with ARM AMBA protocols.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Synopsys verification tools, EDA flows, or prior work designing UVM components/VIPs.
- Nice-to-have: Basic object-oriented programming knowledge and eagerness to learn new tools and flows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
