NOC Design Verification Engineer (Engineer/Sr Engineer)
Role Summary
Work on ASIC/IP design verification for Network-on-Chip (NOC) or related subsystems. Deliver verification plans, develop testbenches and verification environments, execute verification campaigns, and drive coverage closure.
Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and validation teams to ensure functional correctness and performance of digital blocks and interfaces.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting targets candidates with approximately 3β5+ years of ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement verification environments and testbenches for IPs/subsystems from specifications.
- Create and execute detailed verification plans and tests to validate RTL functionality.
- Perform functional, code, assertion, and coverage analysis and drive coverage closure.
- Debug RTL and verification issues using simulators and waveform tools; communicate findings to design teams.
- Automate test runs and flows using scripting; support regression infrastructure.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 3+ years ASIC/system verification experience (target 3β5+ years).
- Strong SystemVerilog and Verilog coding experience; understanding of OOP concepts.
- Proficiency in C/C++ (classes, templates, STL) and strong programming fundamentals.
- Experience developing testbenches, test plans, and verification environments from scratch.
- Scripting and automation experience (Python or shell) to drive regressions and flows.
- Knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI, APB, AHB) and digital design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with simulators and verification tools such as VCS or Cadence simulators and waveform analysis tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with assertion-based verification or formal verification techniques.
- Experience with functional coverage coding and advanced coverage closure strategies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field plus 2+ years hardware engineering/related experience; OR Master's degree in a related field plus 1+ year of experience; OR PhD in a related field.
